Membership Information

To become part of DUKA's driving force apply for Full or Associate Membership by downloading and completing the official Application Form (Here) and posting it to the address at the bottom.

Membership of DUKA is open to:

• Any person over the age of 16 (sixteen) years.
• Bodies of persons or organisations whether incorporated or un-incorporated
• Youths under 16 years of age can become members of the DUKA Youth Wing supervised by the Education, Culture and Recreation Sub-Committee.

There are three Categories of Membership

Full Membership
An applicant or member has expressed the desire to subscribe to the Aims and Objects of the Association, contribute and participate fully in all aspects of the affairs and activities of the Association including the attendance of meetings; such a member is entitled to a vote and eligible for election onto the Management Committee.

Associate Membership
An applicant who have demonstrated or expressed their desire to contribute to or participate financially or otherwise in the activities of the Association but not

Honorary Life Membership
Conferred upon any member who has made an outstanding contribution or provided exceptional and distinguished service to the Association, and has been a continuous active member.

DUKA offers you the chance to make a contribution to address the needs of the community in both the UK & Dominica. In addition to this you will achieve the following benefits:

• Network with positive fellow Dominicans and a diverse range of interesting people, e.g. in other island organisations, entertainment, press, diplomats, etc.
• Participate in your particular areas of interest, e.g.,. education, social, sports, etc.
• Enjoy trips to the theatre, overseas and other places of interest.
• Learn about and help preserve Dominican Culture: Dance, Music, Song, Kweyol Language.
• Contribute meaningfully to your local community and relations in Dominica.
• Provide your children with something positive on which to hold onto and help them develop as exemplars of good citizenship.
